Einsparungspositionen
Flexible Planning: Balancing Dreams and Realities in Architecture
In our field, the term “Einsparungspositionen” frequently emerges in discussions with both large and small clients. Often, clients inquire, “Where are my potential cost-saving options?” They consistently seek alternatives that ensure their architectural dreams can be realized affordably — a Plan B to back up their ideal Plan A.
At TOMIĆ HAN, we understand that sometimes dreams stretch beyond current possibilities. Clients are eager to explore if their visions can be materialized, which we like to think of as their Plan A. Naturally, we prepare a Plan B, a more economical design approach, and sometimes even a Plan C, which involves more significant cost reductions compared to the others.
For architects, considering “Einsparungspositionen” is not a challenge but a necessity. We believe that every Plan B should be robust enough to stand as a Plan A if needed. Conversely, Plan A should be an enhanced version of Plan B — exceptional by design and execution. This approach ensures that our projects are fundamentally sound and that, given the right conditions, the outcomes can only improve.
It is crucial to establish a realistic overview with clients before starting the planning phase. This clarity allows for the strategic allocation of budget to the most critical construction elements at the right times, optimizing both the design and the financial efficiency of the project.
We commit to creating spaces that are not just architectural achievements but are also economically viable. Every project begins with a dream, and with careful planning and open communication, we turn these dreams into awe-inspiring realities.
